OVERVIEW
Keighton spearheaded the design of the Out100 Icon of the Year Award, presented to Cynthia Erivo, and The Advocate Award, received by Sheryl Lee Ralph, at Out100 2024—Out’s premier annual event.
In collaboration with Mikey Lombardo, equalpride’s Creative Director at Large, Keighton transformed the conceptual vision into tangible 3D models using Cinema 4D. Through this process, the designs were meticulously refined and materialized into high-quality 3D-printed awards, bringing artistry and meaning to these prestigious honors.

PURPOSE & CONCEPT
The 3D mockups were created to visualize how the awards would appear in a physical space — for instance, elegantly displayed on an honoree’s bookshelf alongside their other achievements. The designs were crafted with flexibility in mind, allowing for modifications to materials, colors, and finishes based on feedback.

Erivo’s Out100 Icon of the Year Award features a logo elevated on a sleek platform, rendered in an iridescent material that gives it a sophisticated and timeless aesthetic. Presented in a deep gunmetel shade, Erivo’s award is intended to exude a bold and modern look.

Ralph’s Advocate Award takes inspiration from the letter "A" in The Advocate’s logo, utilizing the same iridescent finish, ensuring both awards share a cohesive visual identity. The design wears a firy, passionate shade of red, symbolizing urgency and paying homage to The Advocate’s roots in protest movements dating back to 1967.

Out100 2024 was hosted by equalpride at NeueHouse Hollywood on December 11, 2024 in Hollywood, California.
